About Mocha Chocolate Chef
Our Story
- From an early age, Zoe McCrae discovered the importance of responsibility, planning, and independence. Weekly grocery trips with her mother gave her a firsthand look at how much groceries cost and what it meant to stretch a dollar. This inspired her curiosity, and soon she was watching shopping and budgeting videos on YouTube, creating weekly menus, and setting budgets for her family’s shopping trips. Eventually, Zoe asked for her own banking account and debit card, determined to take ownership of her finances.
- These early experiences fueled her interest in financial literacy and gave rise to a vision much bigger than herself—the creation of Mocha Chocolate Chef. What began as a love for creating sweet, customized desserts has grown into a business that blends creativity, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.
- As a young Black female entrepreneur, Zoe understands the challenges that statistics often predict. According to census data, women like her are projected to earn less in lifetime income compared to their peers, regardless of education or career path. But Zoe refuses to accept those limits—she is here to defy the statistics.
- Raised in Willacoochee, Georgia—yes, Willacoochee!—Zoe is stepping into the fastest-growing segment of women-owned businesses. Her mission goes beyond baking and hospitality. She wants to inspire and encourage children, teens, and young adults, ages 7 to 107 to understand that there are no limits to what they can achieve.
Meet the Business Owner
Zoe M. – Business Owner
At just sixteen years old, Zoe is already making her mark as the founder of Mocha Chocolate Chef. While balancing her schoolwork, she manages the day-to-day operations of her business and continues to develop new, creative dessert offerings. Her specialties include fan favorites like decadent cakes in a jar and creamy cheesecake strawberries, each one crafted with passion and attention to detail.
Beyond the kitchen, Zoe has a wide range of interests. She enjoys watching both classic shows like The Donna Reed Show and keeping up with the latest Marvel and DC Comics series. If you ever want to dive into conversations about superheroes or timeless TV, Zoe is the one to ask! She is endlessly curious, always researching, learning, and finding new ways to connect her passions to her goals.
In school, Zoe excels academically. She is consistently at the top of her class, a proud member of the National Beta Honors Club, and serves on her Student Council. Known for being driven, dedicated, goal-oriented, and responsible, Zoe embodies the spirit of a young leader in business and in life.
Her ultimate goal is not only to create wealth for herself but also to empower others to do the same. Through Mocha Chocolate Chef, Zoe is proving that success has no age limit and no boundaries.
